Manicure Monday: Not My Mother's Pink

Hiii lovelies!

Happy Monday! Mondays are usually a drag, but I love seeing everyone's manicures! :)

Today I have on Confetti's Not My Mother's Pink.

This color is a hot pink and it is more neon in person. It is just reallyyyyyyy bright! What I didn't like about this polish is that it went on really thick and streaky. To fix the problem, I just had to smooth out the color with a topcoat before it started to set. I'm not sure if all Confetti nail polishes are like this, so I will be purchasing more before I make the decision not to purchase these polishes anymore.

What do you have on your nails currently? :)

Hope you have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by!

May 2013 ipsy Glam Bag: Spring Fling ft. yaby, Zoya, Mirabella, Juice Beauty, and NuMe

Hiii lovelies! How's your day going so far? :)

Well, I'm excited because I got new products to try from my Glam Bag that I got over the weekend! Woohoo!

What is a Glam Bag?
☮ A monthly beauty sample subscription from ipsy
☮ You receive 4-5 deluxe samples in each reusable bag
☮ BONUS: If you're active in their community, you may receive an extra item each month!
☮ It only costs $10 a month and that includes shipping! However, if you live in CA, NY, or NC, they do charge a sales tax.
☮ For more info, visit ipsy
So, what did I receive?

1. yaby | Concealer Refill in Buff
Full Size: 1 pan (3.5g), $4.85 @ yabycosmetics.com
Received: full size! - $4.85

ipsy says, "yaby concealers have a creamy texture and are extremely easy to apply. They are highly pigmented to correct any imperfection on the face and body, are creamy and gentle for around the eyes and are tear proof!" [taken from the "My Glam Room" section on ipsy.com]

It was really hot in my area over the weekend, so this melted slightly in the packaging. :/ Usually I don't like receiving pan refills because I don't have any magnetic palettes, but I remembered ipsy had sent a mini magnetic palette a couple months back, along with a couple of yaby eyeshadows, so I'll pop this in there. I haven't found my HG concealer yet, so we'll see how this works out. :)

{COUPON CODE} Get 20% off on yaby products at camerareadycosmetics.com by entering ipsyluvsyabycc20. Valid until 10 June 2013.

2. Zoya | Nail Polish in Blu
Full Size: 0.5 oz, $8.00 @ zoya.com
Received: full size! - $8.00

Zoya says this polish is "...best described as a full-coverage, soft, and delicate pale baby blue with a glossy creme finish. A dreamy, calming blue that's both fun and flattering on the nails." [taken from zoya.com]

This is my first full-size Zoya nail polish and I was sooo happy to see it in my bag. I've received mini Zoya polishes when I was subscribed to Birchbox, and I've loved the quality of each one that I got. The color "Blu" is totally something I would pick out and I can't wait to try it the next time I paint my nails.

{COUPON CODE} If you enter ipsyz at zoya.com/ipsy, you can get 1 free nail polish and 1oz Remove+ when you buy any 2 bottles of polish. Along with $5 shipping! Valid until 31 May 2013.

3. Mirabella | Lip Lustre Liner in Hypnotic
Full Size: 1 pencil (1.81g), $18 @ mirabellabeauty.com
Received: full size! - $18

ipsy says this is "[a] sheer, brilliant lip liner that is easy to blend and layer. Creates a long-wearing shiny finish that serves as a great base for lip gloss and lipstick." [taken from the "My Glam Room" section on ipsy.com]

I own one other lip liner and I hardly use it. I am trying to get into wearing color on my lips, so this is a great addition to my little collection.

{COUPON CODE} Get 50% off Colour Sheers with IPSY50 or 30% off all other products with IPSY30 at mirabellabeauty.com. Valid until 31 May 2013.

4. Juice Beauty | Reflecting Gloss in Champagne
Full Size: 1 tube (0.28 oz), $15 @ juicebeauty.com
Received: 0.14 oz, approximately $7.50

ipsy says, "...the Juice Beauty Reflecting Gloss will give your lips brilliant shine while keeping them healthy and nourished. A combination of antioxidant-rich acai and goji berries, natural minerals and sweet agave nectar that will give your lips radiant color!"

I've tried a few of Juice Beauty's skin care products, so I am interested in how their makeup performs. I do have very pigmented lips and usually don't like to pick up anything lighter than my lip color, but I'll give this a shot anyway. Maybe I'll like it.

{COUPON CODE} Get 20% off your purchase of $30 or more with IPSY20 at juicebeauty.com/ipsy. Valid until 15 June 2013.

5. NuMe | Finishing Serum
Full Size: 59 ml, $29 @ numeproducts.com
Received: 10 ml, approximately $4.92

ipsy says, "Light as a feather, NuMe's Finishing Serum jives with your unique hair type to produce that polished shine and healthy glow that your hair craves." [taken from the "My Glam Room" section on ipsy.com]

I love getting hair treatments in my bag because I want my hair to be in its best condition possible. It's going to be another couple weeks before I try this product though because I still have a good amount of the hair treatment I got in last month's bag. I also got a coupon code for NuMe's website for $110 off styling tools. Even with that code, their products are still over my budget. So if anyone wants the code, let me know and I will gladly email it to you. :)

{COUPON CODE} Receive 60% off a single product using ipsy60 at numeproducts.com. Valid until 31 October 2013.

Total Value of this month's bag: $43.27! Well worth the $10.90 I was charged!

Current Favorites: Urban Decay, NYC, Maybelline, L'Oreal, Vaseline, and Tweezerman

Hiii lovelies! :)

It’s been nearly a year since I last blogged and I have to admit that I’ve missed the whole experience of it. I definitely miss writing, but what I miss the most is interacting with other bloggers. Everyone that I used to talk to on here were just always friendly, helpful, motivating, and just wonderful people in general! I did drop by on a few of my favorite blogs here and there, but I just pretty much disappeared from the blogosphere. :/ I’ve decided to get back into blogging because it just brings nothing but positivity into my life. :) Sooo, to ease myself back into it, I thought I’d share some of my current favorite products.

Urban Decay | Naked Basics
I was iffy on buying this product, but I'm glad I did! Whenever I've been wearing eyeshadow lately, I've been using this palette. It's just perfect for everyday and I use every single color on most days. I did use the mirror to pluck my eyebrows once and the shadows smelled awful! Good thing I only smell it if it's really close to my nostrils, otherwise I would've returned it. Am I the only one who got a stinky palette?
And I apparently felt the need to show you the shades in different lighting. :P

NYC | Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny
This is just the best bronzer I've used so far. It's not too orange or muddy looking on my skin and it's matte! I just love matte everything.

Maybelline | Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Buff
I've used this so much, the label can barely be read! I absolutely love how it looks under my eyes and on the bridge of my nose. I've read that people actually get coverage out of this, but I don't like the way it looks on its own. After I cover my dark circles with another concealer, it looks great and brightens my face well.

L’Oreal | Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
This is one of my all-time favorite mascaras. It makes my lashes super dark and gives them lots of volume. It can get clumpy though, so I always need to wipe the brush lightly the first couple of weeks with a new tube. I also love to pair this with L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara. It's been my favorite masacara combo for the last couple of years!

Vaseline | Rich Conditioning Petroleum Jelly in Cocoa Butter
I have a problem with dry, chapped lips. Maybelline's Baby Lips is my favorite during the day, but I needed something more moisturizing to last me through the night. This stuff is truly amazing! It doesn't dry off and my lips are still super moisturized when I wake up.

Tweezerman | Deluxe Eyelash Curler
This is my first eyelash curler that's over $3! lol. I do think it curls my lashes better and in a shorter amount of time. With my other curlers, I would have to keep pumping the curler to achieve the curl I wanted. And I swear with this, one pump and I'm done!

Tweezerman | Mini Slant Tweezers
My favorite tweezers EVER! These are so sharp, you don't need to waste your time trying to pluck a stubborn hair. It grabs well and plucks cleanly. Yay!

I'll probably do more in-depth reviews about these products later, but until then.. I'd love to know, what are some of your current favorite products? I'll probably get ideas for my next shopping trip. :P

Thanks for stopping by!

June 2012 Glam Bag: Philosophy, NYX, Living Proof, and Marbella

Hello beauties!

Yesterday I received this month's Glam Bag! The theme is "Out All Night."

What is a Glam Bag?
~ A monthly beauty sample subscription from MyGlam
~ You received 4-5 deluxe samples in each reusable bag
   ~ It costs $10 a month - includes shipping!
~ For more info, visit MyGlam
So, what did I receive?

1. Philosphy | Take A Deep Breath Oil-Free Energizing Oxygen Gel Cream Moisturizer
Full Size: 2 oz, $34.00 @ philosophy.com
Received: 0.4 oz, approximately $6.80

MyGlam says, "[t]his lightweight moisturizer detoxifies and helps protect for a healthy-looking glow."

For summers, I usually switch to a gel moisturizer since my skin is oilier than normal this time of the year. I'm glad I got this sample because I was thinking of trying a different product -- I usually go with Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.

{ PROMO CODE } Get free shipping on your next purchase at philosophy.com by using code fresh5 OR myglamjune. No minimum purchase required! Code expires 7/15/12.

2. NYX | Round Lipstick in "Orange Soda"
Full Size: 0.14 oz, $4.00 @ nyxcosmetics.com
Received: full size! - $4.00

MyGlam says, "[i]ncredible color that resists wear and smudging, let your lipstick last all night with an amazing velvety smooth, mineral formula."

I saw this lipstick and thought, "Woah! This lipstick is really light!" I don't own any nude lipsticks, so this one is a first for me. As indicated in the name, it does have a bit of an orange tint to it. This lipstick is definitely something I will have to experiment with.

{ PROMO CODE } Use code myglamkiss at nyxcosmetics.com to save 25% on all Round Lipsticks! Code expires 7/6/12.

3. Living Proof | frizz Nourishing Styling Cream
Full Size: 8 oz, $36 @ livingproof.com
Received: 2 oz, $15 @ livingproof.com

MyGlam says, "[this s]tops frizz in its tracks, keeping all styles frizz-free, soft and smooth. Living Proof's miracle molecule, OFPMA, conquers frizz by blocking humidity without silicone or heavy oils."

My hair has been getting a bit frizzy lately with the weather change.. maybe this will help me out?

{ PROMO CODE } Get an exclusive trial kit of frizz shampoo & conditioner and nourishing cream OR weightless spray for $35 ($46 value) by visiting livingproof.com/myglam. This offer is valid until 7/7/12.

4. Marbella | Permanent Eyeliner Pen in "30" (Black)
Full Size: size not specified, $19 @ diosacosmetics.com
Received: full size! - $19

MyGlam says, "[m]aster the art of beautiful eyes with this unique waterproof, smudge free, and long-lasting semi-permanent eyeliner pen."

I lovelovelove getting eyeliners. I honestly can't wait to try this one out. What also intrigued me is the "duo-tip" mark on the pen. I've read that once you one tip is dried up, you just turn around the tip and it's like new again. Pretty cool concept!

{ PROMO CODE } Get 50% off any purchase at diosacosmetics.com by using code myglam. Code expires 7/8/12.

My overall impression?
I am actually pretty pleased with this month's Glam Bag. Since MyGlam's launch in December, they did have some ups and downs, but I can see that they're getting the hang of it. I've seen less complaining and more praising on their facebook, so that's a good sign! From this particular bag, I really loved getting the eyeliner and the moisturizer. The lipstick and hair styling cream might be a hit or miss for me. I'll definitely keep you guys updated! Also, the products received in this bag came out to a total worth of $44.80. Compared to the $10 subscription fee, it's a great deal!

Are you subscribed to MyGlam's Glam Bag? If so, are you satisfied with this month's products?
